Unlike other learning centers that offer only a standard skills assessment, the Academic Resource Center begins by determining your child's learning style. Our creative approach “teaches the science of learning.” We not only determine what your child needs to learn, but how they can best learn it. We then provide simple, highly effective tools designed to accelerate your child's comprehension, build confidence, boost grades, and improve classroom dynamics and homework success.

Our Programs

ARC Signature One-on-One Tutorials

Working with a tutor to unlock their learning potential, students are tested to identify specific concept challenges. A tutorial plan – aligned with classroom instruction – and a comprehensive study schedule is developed with the student to achieve immediate goals. The result is improved comprehension, enhanced critical thinking skills, increased confidence and the ability to identify learning tools and resources.

Group Tutorials

These small group sessions are designed for the student who needs a subject-specific refresher. Students focus on some of the common subject-specific challenges, and work in groups to problem-solve and build creative thinking skills.

Homework Help

If you're tired of 9 pm homework sessions, this program is for you (we mean your child)! Homework Help improves overall understanding of the homework assignment and teaches students how best to incorporate resources for successful homework completion.

Saturday Academy

This series helps build organizational skills and teaches students the principles of time management and classroom dynamics. Students learn note-taking skills, develop organizational techniques, learn the benefits of study groups, and how to work more effectively with their teachers.

Advancement Classes

This university-accredited, advance placement program offers college-level courses to high school students, and the opportunity to fully leverage their scholastic achievements for the future.
